Jenin, Palestine.
Our radar for anti-American feelings is on full alert. Marthame had planned to make a bank trip into nearby Jenin today, but given that the bombing had started last night (and that everyone was glued to their TVs watching it), he wanted to be very careful. He asked several people about the wisdom of such a trip - including one person in Jenin. They all said, "no problem" - and apart from the unusually long road to get there (by way of Misilye to the West, Qabatiya to the North, then Jenin to the East), it was remarkably unremarkable in its character. Quiet.
