Hanging out in Ramallah.

Our good friend and fellow Birzeit "alum" from two years ago, is taking some vacation days from his job in London and visiting Israel and Palestine. We met up with him in Ramallah, where other friends joined us, including one of the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Accompaniers who lived in Zababdeh last fall.

We relaxed at Ziryiab's, a pleasant Arab style restaurant (with great nachos!?). It was great to catch up, to discuss our friend's novel about the region (the first draft of which he recently completed), and to share the latest local jokes.
