It’s good to reconnect with Chicago.

More orientation, more Chicago. Tonight it was Second City, the legendary Chicago sketch and improv comedy club. The title of the revue was "Thank Heaven It Wasn't 7-11", a reference to the commodification of the September 11th attack. There were some incisive sketches, as always. One we wished our fellow orienters could've seen, as a multi-racial group of soldiers sought shelter in Afghanistan. There's something about humor that, when done well, can cut through issues and make deep comment.
