Fr. Aktham is our new school principal.

Today was the first day back for the teachers in Zababdeh, and we gathered to get some words of instruction from the new director, Abuna Aktham, and the Vice-Director, Teacher Iyad, who is from Zababdeh. Last year he had been taking on the responsibilities of that job without being officially acknowledged as such - it's nice to see some official word here.

As with any change, there is always a mixture of feelings, but for the most part there does seem to be a renewed energy and excitement to work with Abuna Aktham. We certainly hope that it carries over into the classroom.
